Please read the instructions carefully before you begin. You can then start the game once the timer at the bottom of the page reaches 0 and the “begin” button appears.
In this game, you will see four decks of cards (A, B, C, D) on the computer screen. You must make a series of card selections, one card at a time, from any of the four decks of cards until you are told to stop.
After selecting each card, you will receive an amount of money. After selecting some cards, you will also lose some money. The amount you lose from this card will be shown right after the amount you gain.
The total amount you have earned will be displayed on screen as a green bar at the top of the screen. Please note that all monetary values are imaginary but treat them as if they are real.
To start, you have been given an imaginary loan of $2000. A red bar will display this value to remind you how much money you were loaned to play the game.
The goal of the game is to earn as much money as possible.
You are free to switch from any deck to another, at any time, and as often as you wish until you are instructed to stop.
It is important to know that just like in a real card game, the computer does not change the order of the cards after the game starts. Also, the colors of the cards are irrelevant in this game.
You may not be able to figure out exactly when you will lose money, but the game is fair, and the computer does not make you lose money at random. All I can say is that some decks are worse than others. You may find yourself losing money on all of the decks, but some decks will make you lose more than others. You can win if you stay away from the worst decks.
